Our story
The Pro Loco of Novara di Sicilia was founded in December 1958, thanks to the foresight of a group of citizens who decided to unite to voice the needs of the area and promote its riches. In 1961, the association approved its statute, compliant with the regulations of the Sicilian Region, thus establishing itself as a stable point of reference for the community.
Since its inception, the Pro Loco has worked hard to promote, safeguard, and enhance the village's identity, preserving traditions and culture while also embracing the future.
Today, the association continues to grow and renew itself, remaining faithful to the spirit of its founders. It is, in fact:
- Tourist Reception Office (IAT) certified by the Sicilian Region;
- Institution accredited to host young people of the Universal Civil Service, offering them opportunities for growth and training;
- An inclusive place, offering workshops and activities open to all;
- An organization that also promotes charitable initiatives, demonstrating closeness and support for the community.
The Pro Loco of Novara di Sicilia is today a concrete example of how an association can care for its territory, preserving the past and building the future together with its citizens.

Mission
The Pro Loco of Novara di Sicilia is a non-profit association that works to promote tourism and social development in the area. Its activities focus on enhancing the cultural, historical, artistic, landscape, and natural heritage of the area through the organization of cultural initiatives, events, demonstrations, tourist itineraries, and educational programs.
The association also pursues socially beneficial goals through solidarity and volunteer initiatives, fostering community cohesion, supporting disadvantaged individuals, and encouraging active citizen participation. All activities are conducted in accordance with the principles of transparency, sustainability, and collaboration with public and private entities, with the goal of improving the quality of life for residents and enriching the experience for visitors.
